2, 3, 4 or a dozen kids
hi people,
had this interesting conversation with a friend recently.
we were talking about thenumber of kids a couple shud have.
you see, i noticed, well actually we noticed that most malay families who are earning well below the average income bracket have a lot of kids. you know, sometimes majalah 3 highlights the plights of these family and i never fail to notice that these family will at least have a dozen kids or so.
their living conditions are deplorable, food is scarce and basic amenities like heat and water are not existent. i pity these people but i pity their kids even more.
they are brought up into this world without a fighting chance to succeed in life and most of them will have a rather bleak future. there will be one or two miracles along the way who will be come successful and there will always be the opportunity that one of these girls have talent like siti and make a gazillion bucks, but thats just the minority. most of these unfortunate kids will end up as beggars, fall sick due to malnutricient or become theives just to support themselves. i am sure they do not want to resort to such means of livelihood but do they have a choice.
Their parents are working like dogs trying to make ends meet, their elder children in the family will have to take care of their siblings cause mummy and daddy are working and the younger ones are left to their own devices and make good of themselves.
These kids are not giving a fighting chance to get a basic education to fend for themselves in future, these kids are not given money or books or medical attention.
my rant here is two fold. to the families of these unfortunate kids and to the government.
the families or their parents should have the foresight that they will only make it worse for their kids by having more and more kids. they cannot even ensure of taking care of one child and they have another and another and another. granted they may be pious and do not want to interrupt with nature or gods gift, but hello people, the kids that you bring onto this world will suffer the same fate that you are suffering. i would have thought as parents, these people would be more responsible and try to give the very best for their kids, but how is it possible when you have ten mouths to feed?
i, as a future, well hopefully future parent do not want my kids to suffer the fate of these people, i want to give the best chance possible for my kids, i want them to lead a better life than what i am currently living. i am sure everyone has the same motive but most of the times, they either veer of course of they just succumb to their owns needs and wants. i do not want to become an irresponsible parent and bring up my kids will nary a chance to succeed in life. NO WAY will i allow that to happen.
As for the government, they are more interested in making visits to faraway places under the pretence of studying the water sewage treatment, the management council. all pure bullshit and hogwash. now they are trying to educate or make good this rempits aka bastards and sluts. why for gods sake do you want to acknowlege these people and trying to rally them into becoming good citizens? these people are just trash which we need to get rid of. instead of using the money to help these rempits, money would be well spent on ensuring that proper basic education and health is made available to the poor folks.
oh well people, i may sound harsh but thats just the reality of life in my bloodshot and swollen eyes due to erratic sleeping patterns and cigarettes smoke...

i was having the same thought for the past few days.. the hype of malaysia boleh turned out to be malaysia bod*h? to send over to land faraway to do some teh tarik stunt and play batu seremban? and it cost us the taxpayer? should have spend on other things rite? A-class quality on public education? World class govt hospital? Not too mention the price of oil and toll increasing every now and then?
well, so much of embracing malaysia 50 years of indepedence?
Baby, we can skip the babies ;-)
What?!? No updates on the latest curvaceous bottoms spotted on your daily incursions into the ghettos of KLCC? Just an honest to goodness take on Malaysian life and it's shortcomings?? Who are you and what have you done to the blogger we all know and (dare I say it) love???
F&G
heh, i think i would finish all the ink in my printer if i were to list down all the malaysia bodoh achievements!! well said f&g
Pugly dear,
yes lets skip the babies and be on honeymoon all the time.
Irish,
the blogger with the fervent fetish for curvaceous bottoms has been sidelined for a shortwhile whilst his alter ego has a swing or two at the government!
