Last weekend!

Hello.

Last weekend meaning my last weekend which i can really relax. This coming week, i start my paintball training again after a 3 week lay-off. Have to prepare for 2 tournaments. First in Bukit Jalil on the 29th and 30th of July and the second in Bangkok on the 26th and 27th of August.

Anyways, I had a great weekend. Started by having drinks with a friend in San Fransisco Steak House in KLCC. Had a great time chatting with her. Then went home to catch the World Cup. Heh..i supported Germany in the match against Argentine solely because i had money on the game, I won but later found out that the bet was only for the 90 minutes and not taking into consideration of the extra time and penalties. Damn! Slept during the Itlay match.

Saturday woke up at 2pm i think. Had a long sleep, man, it was great, wish i could do this every freaking day...anyways, went to tmn tun to send my laundry and to actors studio bangsar for tickets to an independant film series in KLPac. Later that nite, met some friends in Hartamas to watch the england v. portugal match, i had money on this too, so i was rooting for Portugal, i won again!!!! anyways, got caught in the jam after the match. Luckily got back in time to watch the Brazil match, man, what a let down, i supported Brazil to go all the way to the finals, same as everyone else i guess. I mean who would have thot that they would lose to France, i guess now we can safely say the France is Brazil's bogey team!

Got up at noon on Sunday to pick up a friend for the Indendant film series. It was a series of 4 short films by Liew Seng Tat, an ex student of MMU. The acting was below average, he later explained that the actors and actresses were family and friends who had helped him out and obviously the acting would be below average. His short film were so-so, expected from a student production, nothing much to highlight with the exception of the 4th film. Damn! that was one shocking film, thought provoking, vomit inducing and an all round assault on your beliefs, thots and ideas. It was sexually provoking and lead me to belief that all is not right with the directors grey matter. But kudos to him, he had a strong belief in himself and the guts to churn out such a film. I did not have such a high regard of his earlier shown work, but that fourth one changed my perception of him, not saying that his artistic skill was equal to that of a yasmin ahmad or a faridah merican, but he certainly had the balls and the pubic hair (hehehe) to even come up with such a story. Damn, and it was thick pubic hair!! hehe...my friend and i, we didn't know whether to laugh, to cry or what. but the shock factor was really up there. the part when the lead actor kissed, i mean kissed on the lips, a full bloody wet kiss on the lips of a 70+ year old women was unimaginable. Maybe if you saw one of those kinky fetish x rated films, you might get to watch something like this, but this was a malaysian short film, done in malaysia , acted by malaysian! heh...Kudos to Liew Seng Tat! I admire your guts and your balls to actually have the gall to show this film.

After that, we went to this hotel opposite the PM's former official residences, it was this huge former colonial british residence which now had been transformed into one of the best hotels in malaysia, if not the best then definitely one of the priciest. anyways, we chose to have the english afternoon tea which came served in fine china with a red and white floral design and we sat by the verandah on this huge rattan chairs with cushions. We had ordered the english afternoon tea. its a set which consisted of sandwiches, cakes, scones and creme brulee'. Since we chose the english tea set, obviously we had to drink it down with something english, and no, we did not have ale or lager or anything of the sort, but we had Earl Grey...veryEnglish!!! heh...
The place was as how i imagined, very british with wooden floors and fans and rattan furniture everywhere with crisp white linen and whitewash walls...the waiters who served us served us with aplomb and were very discreet to an extent that i kept drinking my tea thinking when am i ever going to finish it!!! heh..i forgot that the waiter kept refilling it!! now thats what i call service.

Anyways, i had a great time and i had my friend to thank for it. If you are reading this, thanks for acompanying me for the show and tea.

Well....thats it, till later.
