Mud, glorious mud!?

This was a picture taken at the last World Cup Asia 2006 held in Bukit Jalil from the 8th till the 10th of December.

Weather was not too bad during the tourney proper but the heavens opened up during the nite and voila!!! It was a glorious mud bath. Notice the splish splash of mud with every step.

Thats me in front with the red mask with mirror chrome lenses and no! i'm not that fat nor that bulky, its just the pods which i had put into my jersey cause my hands were holding the match slip and my marker, a proto 2006 clear, using a 14 inch ultralite barrel with psp board complete with capped ramping modes allowing a shooting speed of 15 pellets per second and a vlocity loader which with the correct setting can feed up to 32 pellets per second, my baby on the field! This baby rocked my world!

We didn't do too bad, we were ranked overall forth in Asia and hopefully next year high enough to get onto the podium. Throughout the year, we played 3 PALS series. The first in Taiwan where we got 8th placing, the second in Thailand where we managed 5th placing and finally Malaysia where we got 7th.

Next year, hopefully we will be competing in more international events. It'll be nice to meet up with old friends, renew acquaintences, party like there is no tomorrow and play as if your life depended on it.

Heh, and oh yeah, the babes that normally can be seen at international tourneys are like wow. I've have seen some pretty sexy babes when i was in Paris for the Millenium, not as a player but as an observer. I had the best seat in the house and was busy snapping pictures of girls in tight baby tees, bikini tops and tubes! In Bangkok, well we had models walking around the fields, i dunno why, but it did lighten up the atmosphere and for me, it was nice eye candy! nothing provocative obviously but definitely a welcome sight as compared to seeing other paintballers drenched in paint and sweat. they were there in tight hugging hipsters, tank tops with hair all made up and a face full of make up! heh, if you knew my fetish for asses, then you knew i had a field day!

Speaking of girls, i was hanging out at the paintball command centre admiring the view of the girls walking by. Not too bad, the obvious attractions were definitely on a particular group of girls who calls themselves venus. But at the same time, i was somewhat distracted by another girl who was manning the command centre. She was wearing a sleeveless tee shirt with a british flag, not too bad i guess, but she stood out the most because she was "comot"..hmm, what is the translation for "comot" erm, it is certainly not cute, not adorable either, but somewhat messy but attractive? hmm..i dunno..

ok, ok, enough of girls and asses, more on paintball.

Its a sport of pure adrenaline rush. That 5 minutes you are on the field, you block out everything, you focus your mind, your breathing quickens, muscles tensed and just concentrate on getting the opponents out. On the word go, your mind starts racing on reading and out witting your opponents, working out the angles best for defence and attack, co-ordinating your team mates, fingers working overtime to unload a hellish hail of pellets on the opponents, slide into bunkers, you curse, you shout, you shoot and you will be shot at! that i can guarantee and when you win, its like utter bliss, especially when you go up against a worthy opponent and had played your guts out.

I have played till near collapse, twice almost blacking out due to exhaustion, been shot at from less than 10 feet and tearing a chunk of skin and flesh and once been shot direct on the mask with the shell of the pellets breaking and cutting up my lips and mouth. But i have persisted thru numerous injuries and have played thru pain barriers and have come up on top!

This is the team, Xtioneer Mayhem whose sole purpose of existence is to compete internationally and hopefully put Malaysia on the map.
